Recipient Org: Description Colt Enterprise and Project Colt (charity 1098268) work together to help with most vulnerable in Calderdale to feel valued, to find purpose and to grow. We work with people who are: 1) unemployed for 6 months or more 2) socially excluded because of drug and alcohol misuse 3) ex-offenders and offenders 4) in Poverty Our objects are 1) to relieve persons the conditions of need or hardship; (particularly though not exclusively as a result of drug and alcohol addiction). 2) to advance education in the community (particularly though not exclusively in regard to drug-free healthy living). We run a second-hand furniture warehouse and a charity shop selling clothes and bric-a-brac. We run the Calderdale Zarach hub, delivering beds to children in poverty, and a home starter pack project, providing white goods to people in crisis. We host numerous small enterprises in the mill and various community groups also use the space. In partnership with Project Colt, we run a volunteer training programme for recovering addicts and longterm unemployed.
