Recipient Org: Description | The Monkstown Community Association (MCA) is the leading community support and development organisation for the Monkstown estate area. The estate, although located in the centre of the affluent three Mile water Ward with Antrim and Newtownabbey Council, suffers from high levels of multi deprivation. MCA was established in January 2002 and our strategic plan is on the social and economic development of the Monkstown estate area. We took over management of Monkstown Community Centre in February 2013 and the centre provides a base for our activities. MCA delivers a range of programmes and services which include: Good Morning Newtownabbey Youth programme (P1-P6) Alcohol and Drug awareness Educational Programmes mainly British Sign Language Mental Health Welfare advice Universal Credit |
