Recipient Org: Description The Club has shown great promise and potential and has proven to be a big part of junior football in the mid Antrim area. We are keen to continue developing and expanding, providing junior football for many young people in the area. The Club Constitution states that our objectives will include providing adequate facilities for, and coaching of, association football for the entire community. Activities provided at Carniny Youth FC include: - Football coaching - Youth Provision - Volunteer development opportunities - Capacity building - Community safety initiatives - Holistic wellbeing programmes - Community development programmes - Cross-community projects - Cross-border projects Carniny Amateur and Youth FC have a variety of age groups competing in various leagues and have members ranging from the ages of 4-21. The Club have a senior team into the Ballymena and Provincial Football League which is made up mainly of Carniny Youth under 19’s who have progressed through the Club’s junior section. We have eight teams at junior level, in addition to several mini soccer teams and a hugely successful mini soccer centre. The 250+ club members come from all around the Mid and East Antrim council area. We have also produced many top-quality players and coaches over the past twelve years and currently have a resource of approximately 35 volunteers.
