This two-year scheme was a pilot project, which involved setting up a community growers group at two local community gardens in Sanday, an island in the outer north of the Orkney Isles. The project enabled residents of all ages to come together and participate in growing sessions which also provided a platform for people to socialise. Participants shaped the design and delivery of the project through regular, informal group discussions.
