This two-year project built on a successful pilot that has been undertaken with ex-carers in West Lothian. When a person stops being a carer, they can find there is a real impact upon their social circle and an upheaval in their household income. This project provided social meetings for ex-carers and enabled them to access advice about the changing shape of their finances. Participants shaped the project through a steering group and built friendships through the regular meetings.
