The Networking Project
This project will teach disabled young people to use electronic communications to enable them to network with other young people, helping them to establish friendships and strengthen existing ones. A range of workshops and individual support will be provided and young people with existing skills in this area will act as "learning buddies" to those who wish to develop skills. The grant will fund a Development Worker post for 6 hours per week and sessional support.
CAST 'The Future'
This project will benefit 340 young people by upgrading a drop in Internet café run by young people for young people. This facility will provide a venue where a wide range of services and activities can be delivered that will widen youth participation, provide exciting volunteering opportunities and help young people increase their self esteem and confidence. This grant will be used to pay for the salaries of 2 youth workers and upgrading and equipping the youth cafe.
