Biodiversity Net Gain Planning Requirement
The purpose of the grants is for local planning authorities to expand their capacity, upskill and prepare, with regards planning application assessment and preparation for the introduction of the mandatory biodiversity net gain requirement, which is being introduced though the Environment Act 2021 and comes into force in November 2023.
