Voluntary Sector Refugee Network (VSRN) Project.
The Voluntary Sector Refugee Network brings together over 100 organisations from across the Eastern Region that are working to support the needs of refugees. This project is aimed at strengthening the capacity of these organisations by making the network more effective and efficient through improved communication systems, the provision of training and information.
Improved services for unaccompanied aslyum seeker children
The Refugee Council (RC) provides a range of support, advice and information services for RAS and organisations, including residential support and training. They also undertake campaigns and lobbying. This project will establish a regional Children's panel, to support unaccompanied asylum seeker children (UASC) replicating existing work currently undertaken in London.
Delivering sustainable infrastructure support to Refugee Community Organisa
British Refugee Council will establish an England-wide infrastructure for delivery of support and capacity building to Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs). Through information, training, networking, workshops and 1:1 support, RCOs will benefit from advice on their development, sustainability, governance and management.
Refugees' experiences of integration
This is a social research project. This project aims to assist in understanding the processes that support the inclusion of refugees and inform the work of the applicant organisation, other refugee welfare organisations and statutory bodies and seeks to understand how area and length of settlement, gender, ethnic or cultural identity, age, family situation and social networks affect refugees' experience of integration into British Society.
RCO Infrastructure Building Project - Realising Potential
This project will establish England-wide infrastructure support for the delivery of support and capacity building to Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs). Following a thorough needs assessment and an intensive support package, 400 RCOs will benefit from advice on their development, sustainability, governance and management. The project will also create online information products and a toolkit to assist with funding applications, from which 668 RCOs will benefit.
