The Association of Teesdale Day Clubs - Sustainability Project
This project provides support to the older and socially isolated people of Teesdale. The Association operates 10 day clubs throughout Teesdale, eight of which are located in villages and two in small towns. Many of the members do not leave their homes other than weekly attendance to the day clubs, and associated outings. Theclubs provide opportunities for social interaction, develop community networks, improve quality of life and reduce the number of older people taken into care.
