This three year project will maintain and develop the Forum, currently run by the North East Refugee Service, which brings together refugee organisations in the north east. It will enable the Forum to support member groups and to speak with an independent voice on issues affecting refugees. NERS will continue with its main functions which are to provide services in support of individual refugees.

The group will empower refugees and asylum seekers living in the North East to be advocates for change in their own lives, and to support change in their own communities.
