New Horizons for Young People in rural high peak and dales
The grant would be used to increase the amount of activities for young people with additional needs and disabilities in an area of North Derbyshire where young people are socially isolated (this could be through a youth club, activity days and volunteering). Areas that are recognised as having "high deprivation" would be targeted. Opportunities would be created for volunteers, many of these would be young people themselves.

The group works in North Derbyshire with young people with additional needs and disabilities as well as their families. Activities include playschemes, Saturday clubs and activity days. The project will set up activity days and a fortnightly youth club in the Bolsover area for young people aged 12-19. This will be staffed by qualified workers and young volunteers from local schools. Young people attending the activities and youth club will improve their social skills and independence.

This project aimed at children from 0 - 12 years old will establish play schemes, activity days, home visits and parent support groups in the High Peak and Glossop area.
VSCE CMC Fund

The group will use funding to run a series of healthy lifestyles sessions for young children with disabilities who currently don't have access to such activities. This will enable beneficiaries the chance to take part in light physical activity and learn about growing their own healthy food.
