Grant to ROC (Redeeming Our Communities)
This will be to transform 10 overgrown gardens and to make sustainable, and to potentially involve between 5-10 volunteers across the course of the project depending on referrals made to the team.
ROC & Coach Tele-Mentors
The project will match mentors with local families with at least one child under the age of twelve who have been referred to them from a range of partner agencies. The mentor will communicate with the families via appropriate technology to deliver support over ten sessions setting goals and including a review before the final few sessions are delivered. The project aims to see families move from a position of dependency on support to one of strength and self reliance.

ROC - Up Peer Mentoring - Leading for future leaders
This project aims to address low-self esteem, life chances and self-awareness within young people living in the Trafford area. Designed in partnership with local people, the organisation will run a 12 month peer mentoring scheme to help young people develop their own wellbeing and skills. This will better prepare them for adulthood, engage them in new activities and grow areas of interest in arts and sport.
ROC Scotland Showcase Event
This project will allow Redeeming our Communities (ROC) to hold a showcase event in the Glasgow Royal concert hall. The aim of this event will be to bring together key agency decision makers from Police Scotland, Local Authorities, Councillors and MSPs with key businesses, voluntary groups, churches and existing beneficiaries of ROC projects in order to address issues affecting deprived communities.

Redeeming Our Communities - Social Community Cohesion Project
This Belfast based organisation, in partnership with Bauer Academy, are using the £9,618 to run a 12 week intergenerational project in which young people to investigate and record older people's memories and experiences of growing up and living in the Millbrook area of Larne, and create podcasts of these memories to be shared with the local community.
ROC Cafe youth project
This project in Greater Manchester to provide a safe, fun environment (a cafe/club) for young people to enable them to develop as citizens by providing positive adult role models, a context for increasing confidence and addressing low self esteem, to reduce negative attitudes, to reduce anti-social behaviour by providing interesting diversionary activities and a fun learning environment for skills like woodwork and cookery.
ROC-On (into employment)
The organisation will use the funding to train volunteers to run a weekly drop in centre for young people who are NEET, where the young people can gain employment skills, volunteer training, take part in confidence building workshops and participate in trips. This will provide a weekly drop in centre at the local youth and community centre where young people can engage in informal activities and gain access to advice, training, volunteering and employment opportunities.
ROC delivers
The organisation will use the funding to run a series of activities for young people including music, drama and arts sessions. This will help to provide a positive social activity for young people in the community.
