Seeing a Healthier Future
The project aims to improve the physical health self esteem and well being of young visually impaired people by employing 4 regional development officers. The development officers would work with groups of young visually impaired people to develop a programme of sporting activities.The three year capital and revenue grant would fully fund the costs of office equipment, four development workers and a 0.5 manager, general running costs, overheads, training and staff travel.
Seeing a Healthier Future
The project would give opportunities to young visually impaired people to develop and participate in regular sports activities and active holiday programmes. This will raise their levels of fitness, social health, self esteem, general well being and leadership skills. _x000B__x000B_Total beneficiaries = 1,700. The money would cover the full project costs over three years for management, staffing, resources, travel, running costs and equipment.
