This project aims to reduce feelings of isolation for older people in Hackney and surrounding areas by providing a matinee film one Wednesday a month specially selected for its appeal to older people. The applicant will provide free transport to and from the cinema in conjunction with Hackney Community Transport and a local taxi firm plus free refreshments before screening and at the interval.The intervals allow the attendees to socialise and discuss future screenings and other events.
