This one-year project built on a project that has been running for many years. It offered activities and opportunities for people with physical, mental health and learning disabilities in Lochinver, Kinlochbervie, Durness, Drumbeg and Ullapool in a rural region of Scotland. The project enabled the participants to make and maintain friendships, choose activities and take the lead in determining the session format.

The Thursday Club
This new two-year project will provide a varied programme of weekly activities including fitness, arts, crafts, cooking and baking. It is in response to the interests of a group of adults with physical, mental health and learning disabilities who have previously undertaken some ad hoc classes and now are seeking a longer more sustained programme. Activities will take place at the Assynt Leisure Centre in Lochinver, Sutherland and led by experienced tutors and trained instructors.
