Walk 'n' Weigh
The Caw/Nelson Drive Action Group relieve poverty, sickness and the aged to promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Caw Area. The project will individuals with disabilities to participate in the Walk 'n' Weigh weight management programme for 2 years, through aqua aerobics.
Caw Community Festival and Provision of an IT hub within the Community Hous
The group provides a variety of community and advice services and activities for the local community. The project is to organise a community summer festival and purchase IT and office equipment to provide a small IT learning facility within the group's community house.
Caw Golden Years Project
The 'Caw Golden Years' Project will address the health and social needs of older people in the Caw area who face isolation, exclusion, poverty, health & community safety issues. The project will bring together a variety of existing services which until now have been delivered on an ad hoc basis. A Careline service will be developed, offering a daily phone call to older people at risk. Other services to be developed include a new befriending scheme, luncheon club and meals on wheels service.

The group based in Derry/Londonderry offers a range of educational and social activities to the community of Caw/Nelson Drive. They are using the £8,484 grant to develop a community based computer suite and access to classes.
