Voluntary Arts Ambassadors
This group promotes and supports participation in arts and crafts for individual well-being and for the benefit of the community as a whole. This award would allow the group to recruit 9 volunteers (one for each English region) to go out into the local area to meet with local voluntary arts groups to make them aware of the free services which the Voluntary Arts Network can offer them. This will increase the knowledge of what resources are available them.
Crafting the Arts: Building Cultural Organisation and Sector Capacity.
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the voluntary arts network. It will provide mentoring, network events and conferences and will benefit 25 umbrella organisations and 2,500 organisations based throughout Scotland. This five year grant will fund salaries.

Voluntary Arts Week - celebrating and developing the legacy
Voluntary Arts Week - celebrating and developing the legacy
Creative Wellbeing - Merseyside.
The organisation will use the funding to improve the mental health of people over 50s through the medium of radio and themed campaigns around the six ways of creative wellbeing. This will promote creative and cultural activities as a means for the over 50’s to get active and involved in community arts and cultural activities as a way to improve their levels of health and wellbeing.
Inclusive Creative Events
Voluntary Arts Network will use the grant to develop and deliver a series of one-day training courses to enable approximately 75 people to run community events. This grant for £4,620 will fund sessional worker costs, venue hire, refreshments, promotional and marketing costs, travel, translation fees, and course materials.
Widen Your Horizons
This is a project by a registered charity in Cardiff. The organisation will use the funding to expand its volunteer base by working with organisations and doing campaigns to provide capacity building training and build the skills they need to raise their profile and attract and retain volunteers. This will enhance the capacity of smaller organisations to undertake its work and support volunteers effectively._x000B__x000B_
Our City of Culture
The grant will be used to provide a live & virtual space creating a platform for a cross section of citizen artists across Northern Ireland. The live space will be made available in the Verbal Arts Centre, which will be home to exhibitions, arts and crafts days, yarn-bombing (guerrilla knitting, urban knitting or graffiti knitting), performances and storytelling. The virtual space will provide an opportunity for individuals across Northern Ireland to get involved in this project at any level.

The project will run volunteer campaigns and media training for small organisations to match older people to local volunteering opportunities. This will encourage older people to be more active in the community, improving community cohesion and reducing isolation.

This group will carry out research into the development of a workshop model to be used to explain the assessment and management of risk to arts groups. The grant will fund consultant costs, design staff, subsistence for focus groups, room hire, printing costs and staff time.
