Crossroads Care Orkney
I would like to be able to purchase expertise to steamline our inhouse computer system which is currently very fragmented and time consuming. Mobile phones for use within work and when out doing visits would be hugely beneficial.I would like to be able to purchase a rostering package to enable effective and efficient coordination.
Break Away & A Story To Tell
This group will attend the Scottish Young Carers Festival in August 2012 in West Linton, Edinburgh. The festival takes place over two days and due to the remote location there will be an additional two days of travel. The group also plan to employ a freelance writer and illustrator as part of their young carers story project. This grant will fund ferry fares, minibus hire, additional staffing, food, insurance, a writers fee, an illustrators fee and printing costs.
Enhancement and Promotion of the Orkney Young Carers Service
This group will produce information and employ a sessional worker to deliver interactive educational sessions to adults working with young people in Orkney. This will be done to raise awareness of the issues affecting Young Carers and to promote the group's services. The grant will fund a network cable, cable installation costs, a laptop, sessional worker fees, information leaflets, posters and business cards.
