This project will increasing local peopleÂ’s financial resilience to mitigate the impact of welfare reform. Using a partnership approach the project will provide supported ICT advice and training on the completion of on-line benefit forms, using the internet to source affordable products, and developing financial literacy and budgeting skills to manage on a reduced incomes.

Belville Community Garden
This project will provide a well designed, accessible community garden and allotment space on a brown-field site , which was created when the high-rise flats in Belville Street, Greenock were demolished.The project will be led by River Clyde Homes who will work in partnership with Belville Community Association, Parklea, Inworks and Moving On. Over three years 200 residents of Greenock Central and East will directly benefit from the project.
Larkfield Up Close: Young Peoples Film Theatre Project
This group will work in partnership with Scottish Youth Theatre and Urban Croft to lead on a project with a group of young people from Inverclyde Academy. They will research, explore and shoot a DVD documentary about their area. This grant will fund the planning/devising of a script, filming then editing of the documentary and the production of a 1000 copies of the DVD.

This is a development funding grant for The Belville Community Garden project whose aim is to provide a well designed accessible community garden and allotment space on a brown-field site.
